Ian Wylie M.Sc., CATM

Ian has more than 25 years of technology and intellectual property experience and is an inventor on 32 US patent application families.  He has also written and edited more than 100 other patent applications from inventors in a broad range of technology arenas.  He contracts in many areas of IP including: Freedom to Operate analyses, Patentability Searches and Draft Claim construction, Invention Disclosure writing, Reverse Engineering for Infringement, Competitive Intelligence, IP strategy and teaching IP skills.  His technology background and patents includes semiconductor process and device technology, chemistry, water treatment, high-energy physics, nanotechnology, conventional and “green energy” including heavy oil and solar power.  Ian also is a prolific grant writer having written more than two dozen grants in the US and Canada (NSF, DOE, ARPA-e, EPA, SDTC, IRAP) which have been successful in generating grant revenue of greater than $3.5 million.  In addition, he has a very strong Project Management and quality background with more than a decade of direct experience in those areas.   His M.Sc. is in Physical Chemistry and he has the equivalent of an MBA (CATM) for high technology.
