John Goldstone has over 25 years of success translating scientific and technical innovation into commercially viable product and licensing revenue streams, mostly around the biomass and forestry sectors. He has several years of experience prospecting for, negotiating term sheets and agreements, and closing numerous licensing transactions and divestitures that’s brought tens of millions of previously unrecognized or overlooked revenue. As Director of Technology Licensing at Weyerhaeuser, John drove the company’s strategic bias to license or divest technology in order to decrease the cost of in-house research and development. John’s efforts achieved the most successful license in company history with royalty fees from the U.S. and 8 other countries. John has worked across business platforms and different industries and led or worked on several successful commercialization projects involving multiple corporate, business and scientific stakeholders.
